Through various networking forums, we support the exchange of experiences, advice and strategies among female surgeons around the world. Many of us remain isolated from our female colleagues in spite of the rising number of women in surgery.
AWS members are intelligent, hard working, energetic women committed to be the best they can be in all facets of their lives. With diverse interests and lifestyles, each woman shares a commitment to excellence in surgery. These colleagues invite you to join them as a member of the Association of Women Surgeons.

Applications
All applicants for membership shall complete and sign the appropriate form of application provided by AWS and submit it with any required dues payment. Click here for an individual membership application (Word document) or an institutional membership application (Word document).
Those living outside of the United States and Canada can apply for an international membership, which is available based on financial need at different levels. All International memberships come with full AWS benefits, however, all communications will be sent electronically. See "Level" descriptions on page one of the international application. Membership in this organization is continuous with payment of all dues and assessments. Membership will be on an anniversary basis and may be renewed annually.
