STEP 2: Post Your Socks

Post a photo wearing your socks to Twitter or Instagram by July 31. Use the hashtag #AWSAOSAPride and tag @womensurgeons and @outsurgeons in your post to enter! Please make sure your profile is public so that we can see your post.

STEP 3: Consider a Donation

Consider making a donation to AOSA and/or AWSF to support diversity in surgery.

The Association of Out Surgeons and Allies (AOSA) is comprised of LGBTQ+ surgeons, learners, and allies from all surgical specialties. Founded in 2019, it has now grown to over 280+ members as well as 20 Institutional members. AOSA promotes and supports an inclusive and accepting space for LGBTQ+ surgeons and trainees through outreach, education, mentorship, scholarship and professional development. Donate to AOSA here

The Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) is a not-for-profit educational and professional organization. With over 3,500 members of all genders in more than 40 countries, AWS is truly an international organization. The Association of Women Surgeons Foundation was founded in 1994 to sponsor activities that advance women's careers in surgery, provide educational and professional growth opportunities, and address gender disparities in surgery worldwide. Donate to AWSF here.
