Announcing Dr. Mecker Moller

The Latino Surgical Society and the Association of Women Surgeons are pleased to announce that Mecker Moller, MD, FACS, DABS, MAMSE will serve as their first co-sponsored annual Visiting Professor! Dr. Moller will heighten the visibility of Latino surgeons and serve as a positive role model for medical students and trainees of LatinX heritage.

The 2024 LSS/AWS Visiting Professor is Mecker Moller, MD, FACS, DABS, MAMSE. Dr. Moller provides lectures in the following topic areas:

  • Advocating for Women minorities in Surgery, Global Surgery, and Surgical Education
  • International Collaborations,
  • Developing Peritoneal Carcinomatosis Programs
  • Embarking on racial health disparities research

Applications EXTENDED to September 12.

Applications for host institutions to host this year’s visiting professor, Dr Mecker Moller are now open and will close on September 12, 2024.

The program’s award will cover the visiting professor’s honorarium. The host institution will be expected to provide the travel and lodging arrangements, meals, and to coordinate the schedule for the visit. The schedule should provide an opportunity for the VP to interact with faculty, residents, and medical students.
